With a vision to promote the culture of innovation and
entrepreneurship Atal Innovation Mission Niti Ayog initiated
program for setting up of Atal Tinkering Laboratories in schools
across India. The objective is to foster creativity, curiosity,
and imagination in young minds and inculcate skills such as
design mindset, computational thinking and adaptive learning.
Our vidyalaya was one of the 13,005 applicants from across India
and got selected in top 495 schools for Atal Innovation
Challenge. Young, dynamic JMVians prepared a presentation on
BHALASWA LANDFILL-A BURNING CHALLENGE wherein the problems
caused due to landfill, proposed solutions and future strategies
were highlighted. The team also elucidated their vision of
JMVATL - a Makers asylum where curious minds with a yen for
tinkering can EXPLORE, EXPERIMENT, AND, EVOLVE.
Finally we are the proud recipients of a grant for the Atal
Tinkering Lab and a part of 457 schools across India to
collaborate in this endeavour.
