Our nation is on the cusp of a take-off, ready for the giant leap, it needs citizens that are critical thinkers, collaborators, problem solvers and creators. The future of the nation is being designed in our schools and educators have a huge responsibility on their shoulders. Students should be encouraged to question and dissent in an organised manner. It is important to ensure that teaching is transformational, research oriented and connected to life so that competency, character and creativity are nurtured.
